Thinking back to last January, when we began planning our 30th anniversary in earnest, I really wasn’t sure how the year would go. Could we add so many public events – like a mural unveiling, a new billboard bus tour and our first in-person fundraiser since 2019 – without completely burning out? Would people join us along the way? Would it feel celebratory?

In a word, YES. I am so glad we chose joy as our guiding principle for the year-long celebration; that theme shaped everything we did and made the unprecedented seem possible.
