Join InsideOut for an immersive poetry workshop inspired by the works in the Reimagine African American Art exhibit at the DIA. Led by Grammy-recognized Hip-Hop Soul artist and Kresge Arts Fellow Mahogany Jones, this workshop will invite participants to learn about the world-class collection of African American Art, draft their own poetry in response to its themes, and draw connections between poetry and art from the Harlem Renaissance through the Black Arts Movement.
Open to teens and adults. The workshop will begin in the Holley Room located near the John R entrance.
